Universal Recognition Application

Vermillion Cliffs
March 29, 2022

On August 27, 2019, the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners began accepting applications for licensure by universal recognition. At a minimum, qualified applicants must have established residence in Arizona and hold an active license in the same profession in another state for one (1) year or more.  Please note, this is the ONLY pathway to licensure that requires applicants to establish residence. There are other application pathways to licensure if you do not live in Arizona.

Go to "Apply to Practice" in the menu, and click on the appropriate Applications page for your profession for more information and to download the application for licensure by universal recognition (and other types of applications). This pathway to licensure is authorized by A.R.S. Section 32-4302.  All requirements in this statute must be met.
